Hi, I’m Katie.
I’m a long time artist and lover of books based in Columbia, SC. My experience with art has always been closely tied to storytelling. I remember my mom reading to my siblings and me as we grew up. And I remember writing stories as a child, just so I could draw pictures to go with them. Over the past ten years I’ve illustrated a handful of books, and I’m delighted to be back in this space again.
My sweet spot is graphite and watercolors. My favorite projects lean into hope and wonder, and often include children and animals.
